each received a Cheque for €48,212 at a presentation night at the park hotel Kiltimagh on June 9th

A spokes person for Crumlin wrote “We’re just overwhelmed with the amazing support from the Dublin2Mayo tractor run.” Lisa-Nicole Dunne, CEO of CMRF Crumlin, said. “We have so many amazing supporters from the Mayo community. The positive contribution they make is life-saving. In 2017, 802 children from Mayo came through the doors of Our Lady’s. Thanks to our fundraisers, we were able to offer them and their families wraparound services and help deliver faster diagnosis, better care, gentler treatment and more positive outcomes. We believe that every sick child deserves every chance. The work that we do wouldn’t be possible without the support we receive from amazing donors and fundraisers, like the crew who arranged the Dublin2Mayo tractor run.”.

€48,212 was also raised for the Special Care Baby Unit in Castlebar. Professor Michael O’Neill and his staff was absolutely delighted with the donation . He said that it will make a great difference to the Unit.

The monies raised for both hospitals went to life-changing piece of equipment called The MasterscreenPFT. The Masterscreen PFT System (Pulmonary function testing) is a piece of equipment that tests lung functions for all respiratory and general patients in the hospital which will benefit over 2,500 sick children annually. The equipment will provide services to little patients being treated for Cystic Fibrosis, orthopaedics, generalrespiratory, oncology, immunology, rheumatology, neurology, allergies and cardiac problems.

the Extreme Tractor Runs Committee were awarded a People of the Year award  in Mayo for the unbelievable success and effort put into the Dublin2Mayo event in 2018.
